Dr. William Dworet attended the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, ME. After an internship in Flint, MI, he completed a residency in Anesthesia at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Brighton, MA. Building upon medical school training in Osteopathic Manipulation, he continued with extensive post graduate training in Sutherland Osetopathy in the Cranial field and Sutherland's Ligamentous Articular Strain Method. He also has expansive experience in Myofascial Release, Counterstrain, Muscle Energy, Still Method, Soft Tissue and Lymphatic. Dr. Dworet has practiced these techniques for more than 30 years. In addition to extensive training in manipulation, he trained at the UCLA School of Medicine, Extension Program, Medical Acupuncture for Physicians. Additional training in Clinical Hypnosis complete this approach to stress reduction, pain management and tobacco cessation. Dr. Dworet's Osteopathic philosophy of treating the whole person and not just the disease, lends a comprehensive approach to total wellness.
Dr. Dworet opened his new practice in 2018 at 21 Brewster Cross Rd in Orleans, MA. He will be drawing from those principles of gentle Osteopathic Manipulation adjunct with Medical Acupuncture, Myofascial Trigger Point Injection, and hypnosis with guided meditation and biofeedback for stress-management, stretching exercise and general medical care to manage his patients. Over the past 30 years he has treated patients for – back and neck pain, headaches, TMJ Syndrome, joint pain, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue and postherpetic neuralgia with a combination of treatments to stimulate the body’s innate ability to heal, block pain, normalize and balance the body to achieve optimum results. The goal of this practice is to assist the patient to maintain the maximum physical function possible without utilizing cognitively impairing medication.
